This circular walk starts at Bishopton Station and takes a leisurely walk through Central Park and out to the Formakin Estate.
Formakin House, also known as the Monkey House is a listed building and was built in a 17 th century style. It was designed by Robert Lorimer for the wealthy businessman John Holms, and although started in 1911, the building was never completed. The Formakin Estate was formed in 1902 from four farms, and the existing buildings were turned into 17 homes which now form a 170-acre private residential estate.
After visiting the estate, we return to our starting point.
